description:	The numbering of the peptide is based on the alignment of sequences from multiple species. Half maximal detection of antibody binding to the epitope was achieved with serum dilutions of >1:25800. Preabsorption of antibody to the epitope with <100 µg/ml epitope inhibited binding in a Western blot to protease K-treated PrPsc from brains of mice infected with scrapie-infected sheep homogenate.
