There are some amino acid sequence homologies with human myosin heavy chain including cardiac muscle beta isoform, perinatal cardiac muscle and skeletal muscle isoforms.
Antisera from a pool of 2 mice immunized with the peptide also reacted with porcine heart myosin in ELISA in which the activity can be enhanced when mice were boosted with peptide. Antisera also reacted with porcine heart myosin, and weakly to human heart tissue proteins on immunoblot, but not HCl-extracted M protein.
