There are some amino acid sequence homologies with human myosin heavy chain including perinatal cardiac muscle and skeletal muscle isoforms.
From four of B10 mice immunized with the peptide, only one antiserum reacted with porcine heart myosin in ELISA (> 20). Antisera also reacted with porcine heart myosin, HCl-extracted M protein, and human heart tissue proteins on immunoblot.
