name:
Antigenic regions within the hepatitis C virus envelope 1 and non-structural proteins: identification of an IgG3-restricted recognition site with the envelope 1 protein.
description:
Thirty-four overlapping 18mer peptides were synthesized based on the entire sequence of the E1, E2/NS1, NS1 AND NS4 proteins of Hepatits C virus (US clone).
The relative reactivity of IgG subclass with HCV-specific peptides was measured using immune sera. Seven of the 14 sera tested reacted with this NS4 peptide. IgG1 was the predominant subclass.
