description:	The bovine sequence corresponds to the hypervariable region residues 95-110 of human PrP. Rabbit antiserum RB1, made to the epitope, reacts strongly with denatured ovine recombinant PrP. Antiserum RB1 reacts with the diglycosylated, monoglycosylated and unglycosylated forms of proteinase K-treated PrP from scrapie-infected ovine brain on Western blots.
