description:	The peptides from the Burma and Mexico strains share 90.5% amino acid sequence identity. The sequence is derived from a region of HEV(B) ORF2. Immunoscreening in a plaque assay format showed that the epitope expressed from a lambda gt11 expression vector was not recognized by acute- and convalescent-phase sera from cynomoglgus macaques inoculated with human stool samples infected with HEV strain Pakistan.
