name:
Neutralizing linear epitopes of B19 parvovirus cluster in the VP1 unique and VP1-VP2 junction regions.
description:
Multiple antigenic peptides were synthesized to correspond to sequences within the unique region of VP1; this sequence was selected because it had been shown to elicit neutralizing antibodies when presented as a fusion protein. Neither animal produced neutralizing antisera in an erythroid colony assay after MAP immunization, while both sera showed binding activity to VP1 but not to the fusion protein VPF1 encoding amino acids 1-94.
