Syntheses of four peptides from the immunodominant region of hepatitis C viral pathogens using PS-TTEGDA support for the investigation of HCV infection in human blood.
|
| description: |
The peptide was synthesized based on an immunodominant region of Hepatitis C virus polyprotein.
A total of 400 sera from patients with various liver disorders were studied. The samples which scored positive were also subjected to RT-PCR to detect the presence of HCV RNA, and 39 were found to be positive. All sera were also assayed using a commercial ELISA kit, and 42 were found to be positive.
