description:	Overlapping peptides were synthesized from the viral coat protein (VP1) of coxsackie B3 virus. Binding of this VP1 peptide with polyclonal mouse anti-CVB3 (H3) antisera was negative. A cystein residue was added to the carboxy-terminus of this peptide for coupling during synthesis.
