description:	This sequence codes for the major coat protein (VP1), and also for the major capsid protein (VP2, last 555 aa). Antibody reactivity from past immunity phase (IgG positive but IgM negative) sera was observed in 4 contiguous spots from peptide blotted membrane. The overlapping region, residues 316-326, was thus considered to constitute an antigenic region. Acute phase infection patients didn't show activity, implying this is not an acute phase specific epitope.
