| name: |
Characterization of monoclonal antibodies and epitope mapping of the NS4 protein of hepatitis C virus.
|
| description: |
The sequence is from the NS4 protein.
The authors deduced that MAbs 3F11 and 3F12 recognize the epitope based on their reactivity with a panel of 33 overlapping peptides covering residues 1683-1750 of the NS4 protein from HCV subtypes 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 2c, 3a, 4, 5, and 6. The MAbs reacted strongly with the peptide residues 1689-1708 from genotype 3a. The epitope is genotype-independent and recognized in HCV genotypes 1, 2, and 3.
