description:	The sequence corresponds to the NS5 region. Anti-HCV-positive sera reacted very weakly with the epitope. HCV-negative sera did not react. The antigenicity of the NS5 region was assessed using a set of 199 overlapping hexapeptides spanning residues 2530-2733 of HCV subtype 1b. Six regions with significant reactivity were identified.
