| name: |
Enhancing the immunogenicity and modulating the fine epitope recognition of antisera to a helical group A streptococcal peptide vaccine candidate from the M protein using lipid-core peptide technology.
|
| description: |
The epitope was identified by overlapping peptides analysis using fragments of the immunogen with extra amino acids added to both N- and C- termini of these segments (to maintain the overall helicity of the structure). It was demonstrated that the epitope is the immunodominant part of the immunogen. Sera from immunized mice were positive by ELISA when the immunogen or fragments of the immunogen were used as assay antigens.
