name:
Epitope mapping of antibodies directed against hypervariable region 1 in acute self-limiting and chronic infections due to hepatitis C virus.
description:
The peptide represents an N-terminal peptide from the hypervariable region 1 of a minor HCV-AD78 variant.
This peptide represents an N-terminal peptide from the complete main variant of hypervariable region 1 of isolate HCV-AD78. Reactivity was determined using sera from patients infected with HCV-AD78 who developed chronic infections. Similar reactivity patterns were found in chronically infected patients not affected by the HCV-AD78 outbreak.
