name:
Enhancing the immunogenicity and modulating the fine epitope recognition of antisera to a helical group A streptococcal peptide vaccine candidate from the M protein using lipid-core peptide technology.
description:
Antisera from mice immunized with a fragment of the source antigen containing the epitope displayed opsonic activity against M6 group A streptococci; mice were immunized with either the fragment or the fragment contained within a lipid core peptide construct. Immunization with the fragment alone resulted in weak opsonic activity of the resulting antisera; immunization with the fragment contained in a lipid core construct gave much higher opsonic activity.
