description:	N2a cells were infected with the mouse-adapted scrapie strain 22L. Culturing N2a/22L cells in the presence of epitope-specific MAb 8B4 reduced the level of PrP^sc by 54% without affecting the level of PrP^c, as detected by immunoblotting PK-resistant PrP^sc and total untreated PrP in cell lysates.
