name:
ADAM-HCV, a new-concept diagnostic assay for antibodies to hepatitis C virus in serum.
description:
HCV-positive human serum (C65) reacts with the epitope. The epitope was derived from phage clone PA1 which was used to was affinity purify C65. The affinity-purified C65/A1 antibody reacts with the peptide SREQLNKLFGIE, which was derived from phage clone PA12. The authors conclude that PA1 and PA12 are recognized by antibodies of the same specificity.
