| name: |
Identification of an immunodominant ABC transporter in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections.
|
| description: |
This is a deduced epitope determined by testing overlaping peptides. The epitopic motif was found in 4 peptides (including Peptide 2) which showed significant reactivity with sera from Staph. aureus wound-infected and septicemic patients.
The antigen consisted of 4 peptides containing the epitope DRHFLN (only one peptide is shown in the Antigen field). Sera from septicemic patients who survived reacted with the peptide with a significantly higher optical density compared with those from patients who died.
