name:
Chimeric monoclonal antibodies to hypervariable region 1 of hepatitis C virus.
description:
This 15-mer peptide was derived from the HVR1 of the HCV polyprotein (strain MH2).
Competitive inhibition of HVR1-specific human-mouse chimeric antibody (15H4) was not demonstrated using this 9-mer peptide, showing that the recognition of mAb 15H4 is not based on the conserved G--Q motif. 15H4 reacted only with the MH2 15-mer peptide.
