This 15-mer peptide was derived from the HVR1 of the HCV polyprotein (strain MH2).
Seven KLH/BSA conjugated 15-mer HVR1 peptides were tested against HVR1-specific chimeric antibodies (cAb) and standard mAbs for binding affinity. The affinities of cAbs and mAbs (2P24 and 15H4) were similar. Chimeric 15H4 consisted of CDRs from originally immunized mice and the human CK and CH1 (IgG1) constant regions.
