| description: |
The circumsporozoite protein contains multiple tandem repeats of the sequence DPPPPNPN.
Mice immunized with the epitope produced antibodies that bound to immobilized P. berghei recombinant circumsporozoite protein. This binding was inhibited by recombinant CS protein. The conjugate of epitope and tetanus toxoid crosslinked with bisdiazobenzidine induced higher titers of antibodies than the conjugate crosslinked with glutaraldehyde.
