Rabbit antibodies to the epitope did not neutralize the infectivity of sporozoites from a heterologous species, P. berghei. A/J mice were injected i.v. with 5 x 10^3 sporozoites that were pre-incubated with rabbit anti-N2 or normal rabbit serum. Mice were monitored daily for the presence of blood stages of the parasite.
