description:	The protein is a member of the heat shock protein 70 family. Sera from rabbits immunized with the epitope immunoprecipitated the source protein, p75, from extracts of parasitized human erythrocytes. The antisera also bound the recombinant malarial C7 protein and authentic protein p75 in an ELISA.
