| name: |
Synthesis of a diepitope multiple antigen peptide containing sequences from two malaria antigens using Fmoc chemistry.
|
| description: |
This artificial epitope is based upon the naturally occurring repeat sequence VTEEI from Plasmodium falciparun Pf332.
Sera from mice immunized with a MAP construct containing 8 copies of the epitope recognized the epitope as presented in two MAP constructs: one consisting of 4 copies of the epitope linked to a lysine core, the other consisting of 2 copies of the epitope and 2 copies of another P falciparum epitope, (DPNANPNV)2 linked to a lysine core. The epitope containing MAP constructs also inhibited the binding of the sera to the same MAPs.
