| name: |
Evidence for diversity of Plasmodium falciparum sporozoite surface antigens derived from analysis of antibodies elicited in humans.
|
| description: |
The circumsporozoite protein contains multiple tandem repeats of the sequence NANP.
The epitope inhibited the binding of MAbs NFS1 (IgG1) and NFS2 (IgG2a) to P. falciparum sporozoites as detected by indirect immunofluorescence. The recombinant peptide R32tet32, composed of 30 NANP and 2 NVDP repeats, also inhibited binding of the MAbs.
