Plasmodium falciparum liver stage antigen-1 is well conserved and contains potent B and T cell determinants.
|
| description: |
The accession given is a partial sequence of the 3' end of the gene from P.falciparum clone T9/96 obtained by the authors. Based on an homologous strain, the authors provide the positions for the fragment in the complete protein.
Higher reactivity to this epitope correlated with increased age in the Donse and Podor populations, but not in Ankazobe. Competition ELISA using this and other peptides from LSA-1 with similar sequences (LSA-Rep, LSA-NR) showed that the epitopes present in each peptide do not overlap.
