description:	This peptide mimics the epitope found in Mr 42000 C-terminal fragment of Plasmodium vivax merozoite surface protein 1 (PvMSP1) that is bound by the monoclonal antibody D14-3. Sera from epitope-immunized Biozzi mice recognized PV42 by ELISA. In contrast, sera from epitope-immunized Balb/c and 1C57BL/8 mice did not recognize Pv42.
