description:	Sera from mice immunized with peptide P8 (143-172) mixed with CpG reacted with P8 and the overlapping peptide P9 (158-187), but not with the overlapping peptide P7 (128-157). To localize the epitope, sera were tested against a library of overlapping 15-mer peptides covering residues 140-189. The wt anti-P8 reacted with the epitope and the peptides G (152-166), I (160-174), and J (164-178), indicating the epitope is within residues 156-168.
