description:	ELISA and inhibition ELISA were used to determine the epitope-specificity of monoclonal antibodies (IgG and IgM classes) raised against the source antigen. The epitope of the monoclonal antibodies were deduced by their reactivities against synthetic glycoconjugates representing various regions of the trisaccharide antigenic determinant of the phenolic glycolipid (PGL-I) derived from Mycobacterium leprae.
