Affinity-purified anti-myosin Abs (i.e. purified with rabbit myosin and shown to bind human myosin) from a patient with rheumatic heart disease bound the M5 protein and binding was inhibited by this peptide in competition ELISA. Simliar results were obtained with a human anti-myosin Ab.
