Using sera from 39 patients, 3 of 39 patients showed reactivity with the epitope. All patients tested were positive for Lyme disease. Out of the 39 patients who tested positive, 0/7 had erythma migrans, 1/5 neuroborreliosis, and 2/27 had lyme arthritis.
