| name: |
48-mer synthetic peptide analogue of the hepatitis B virus ""a"" determinant induces an anti-HBs antibody response after a single injection.
|
| description: |
Significant responses were obtained only in mice immunized with FCA as an adjuvant. A mixed IgG1/IgG2a type response was seen in mice immunized with peptide and FCA as an adjuvant. The peptide is 48 amino acids long, and encompasses the entire HBV 'a' determinant. This region includes immunodominant B cell epitopes between amino acids 139-145 and a known T-helper epitope around amino acids 164-167.
