Bovine anti-Bm86 antisera were demonstrated to be cross-reactive to this epitope from Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) decoloratus Bd86 protein. In a separate pin-coupled ELISA assay, pins 2 through 4 (corresponding to amino acids 9-39 from Bd86 protein) were also reactive with bovine antisera from immunized cows.
