description:	The amino acid sequence of this peptide is similar to 135-146 (RVRGLYLPAGGSSSGT) of the Pre-S2 region of the hepatitis B virus HBsAg. A random 12-mer peptide library was used to screen the serum from a hepatitis B virus infected patient in the recovery phase. After biopanning, a single clone was selected bearing the epitope. HBsAg significantly inhibited the binding of this clone to patient's serum.
