Development of an OspC-based tetravalent, recombinant, chimeric vaccinogen that elicits bactericidal antibody against diverse Lyme disease spirochete strains.
|
| description: |
Mice immunized with the chimeric OspC ABKD vaccinogen (four epitope construct) generated antisera capable of reacting with the individual OspC proteins of types A, B, K and D. Significant differences in the antibody titer to individual epitopes were observed. Epitope-specific titers also decreased with its proximity to the C-terminus of the chimeric vaccinogen.
