name:
Conformational changes in the VP1-unique region of native human parvovirus B19 lead to exposure of internal sequences that play a role in virus neutralization and infectivity.
description:
MAb 1418-1 sequence recognition confirmed from other paper (J. Gen. Virol. 82:191-199).
Results suggest that MAb 1418-1 binds and neutralizes the virus following putative capsid rearrangement (which exposes VP1u) induced by cell receptor attachment. MAb 1418-1 was previously found to recognize residues 30-42 of the VP1u protein (VTGTDLELIQILK).
