Formic acid pretreatment gave weak to no immunolabelling. In contrast, hydrated autoclaving at 135C, 3 atm for 20min in distilled water along with formic acid treatment enhanced the immunolabelling intensity.MAb 31C6 reacted with murine PrPSc, but showed no reactivity to bovine, ovine or human PrPSc.
