description:	Epitope specific mAbs SAF32 and SAF34 detected the undigested classical scrapie, as well as atypical scrapie with the 11 kDa fragment and the BSE isolate. After PK digestion, these antibodies failed to recognize the BSE isolate, but detected the classical and the atypical scrapie cases, including the 11 kDa fragment. Species tested and recognized by this mAb include sheep, cattle, mouse, hamster and human PrP.
