name:
Characterization of an antibody to the cross-reacting determinant of the glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol anchor of human membrane dipeptidase.
description:
The epitope is generated by phospholipase treatment of the GPI anchor of proteins such as the human membrane dipeptidase used in this study. The natural GPI anchor has a monophosphated, not cyclic, myo-inositol molecule.
Antibodies raised against phospholipase C-solubilized human dipeptidase were inhibited from binding to phospholipase C-solubilized pig aminopeptidase by the epitope.
