description:	A rabbit antibody to the epitope immunostained Th2 clones, but not Th1 clones. The antibody stained T cell clones that coexpressed IL-4, but not IFN-gamma. Splenic CD4+ T cells driven to the Th2, but not Th1 lineage, also were stained by the anti-ST2L antibody and produced IL-4 but not IFN-gamma. The anti-ST2L antibody lysed Th2 clones in the presence of complement, but had only a modest effect on Th1 clones.
