Retro-inverso peptide analogues of Trypanosoma cruzi B13 protein epitopes fail to be recognized by human sera and peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
|
| description: |
The peptide was synthesized by using D-aa instead of L-aa, maintaining the original order of the natural peptide from T. cruzi B13 Ag. Aa in the lower case are in the D-aa configuration.
This peptide has very low ability to compete the binding of Chagas' patients serum to immobilized recombinant B13 protein. The highest percentage of inhibition was found with the natural peptide.
