The beta1 adrenergic effects of antibodies against the C-terminal end of the ribosomal P2beta protein of Trypanosoma cruzi associate with a specific pattern of epitope recognition.
|
| description: |
Sera from BALB/c and Swiss mice immunized with TcP2beta bound the epitope. Mice were described as Chagas'-like (anti-TCP2B+,-R13+, and -H13+), non-responders, or having an autoimmune phenotype (anti-TCP2B+,-R13+, -C10+, and -H13+). The autoimmune phenotype responded best to the epitope and the non-responders did not recognize the epitope. Reactivity towards the epitope was first detected at day 52 post-immunization.
