description:	This peptide corresponds to the hypervariable N-terminal region of a T. cruzi surface mucin. Reactivity to this peptide in mice sera was seen only in the late stages of infection (i.e., 150 days post infection). Non-infected controls showed no reactivity. The reactive antibodies were developed with radioactive labeled protein A.
