Immunological property of antibodies against N-glycolylneuraminic acid epitopes in cytidine monophospho-N-acetylneuraminic acid hydroxylase-deficient mice.
|
| description: |
Production of anti-NeuGc IgG was observed a few months postimmunization of cytidine monophospho–N-acetylneuraminic acid hydroxylase (CMAH) deficient (CMHA-/-) B6 mice with xenogeneic rat thymocytes (predominant subclasses were IgG1 and IgG3) indicating that class switching of Ig occurs with anti-NeuGc specificity. The reactivity to the epitope by immunized mice IgG was also found on CMHA+/+ pancreatic islets.
