Characterization of the anti-BP180 autoantibody reactivity profile and epitope mapping in bullous pemphigoid patients.
|
| description: |
This epitope, initially selected by immunopanning of a phage-displayed library of random fragments of human BP180 with one or more sera from bullous pemphigoid (BP) patients, was tested in plaque dot-blot with 57 BP patients, 64 normal healthy individuals (NHI) and 17 pemphigus controls. This epitope was recognized with significantly higher frequency by BP sera than by NHI control sera. It was not recognized by pemphigus controls.
