name:
Definition of Brucella A and M epitopes by monoclonal typing reagents and synthetic oligosaccharides.
description:
The M antigen is a homopolymer of 4,6-dideoxy-4-formamido-alpha-D-mannopyranose residues, where the repeating unit contains one alpha1,3-linked and four alpha1,2-linked monosaccharide residues.
Only one out of three epitope-specific mAbs recognized Y. enterocolitica LPS in direct ELISA, and with significantly lower titer than B. melitensis LPS.
