In vivo induction of tolerance by an Ig peptide is not affected by the deletion of FcR or a mutated IgG Fc fragment.
description:
Mice receiving epitope-transduced B cell transfer showed in vivo induction of tolerance. Tolerance was demonstrated by reduced epitope-specific IgG titer in an ELISA compared with recipients of OVA-transduced B cells. Transfer of epitope-transduced B cells from BALB/c and FcgammaRII-/- donors caused the same outcome in BALB/c or FcgammaRII-/- recipients, indicating that FcgammaRII deletion had no effect on induction of humoral tolerance.
