The epitope-specific mAbs inhibited the antiviral activity and macrophage priming activity of IFN-g protein. Only two of four epitope-specific mAbs (5.102.12 and 5.74.1) inhibited the binding of IFN-g to mouse L929 cells. The other two mAbs (5.52.1 and 4.6.27) caused an enhanced binding of IFN-g to L929 cells.
