name:
A defined epitope on the human choriogonadotropin alpha-subunit interacts with the second extracellular loop of the transmembrane domain of the lutropin/choriogonadotropin receptor.
description:
The anti-epitope antiserum was inefficient in decreasing hormone binding, but it displayed a significant capacity to inhibit CG-induced cAMP production. The effect of the epitope-specific antiserum on CHO-93 cells expressing full-length LH/CG receptor was measured. Binding was determined by addition of 125I-labeled human CG.
