name:
The specificity of anti-cardiolipin antibodies from syphilis patients and from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
description:
The epitope inhibited the binding of syphilis patients' sera to the epitope. The syphilis patients' sera also reacted with the epitope in a direct ELISA. Using cardiolipin venereal disease research laboratory (VDRL) antigen as assay antigen produced a positive and stronger inhibition.
